Glenn Raines is the quintessential “left brain, right brain” having worked as an agency copywriter, creative director, market researcher and digital strategist. As the “Revealer  of Value” at Social Media Moves Glenn helps individuals and companies assess how digital and social business strategy can enhance their brand value and gain market insight to inform product development and improve customer service.

Glenn's career in digital strategy took shape in the mid 1990's when he led the launch of e-commerce services    for RR Donnelley and Sons catalog marketing division. Glenn went on to join Citigroup as vice president, Internet Business Strategy. Subsequently he was a creative strategist in branded CRM programs for Baxter BioScience, and has led large scale web-based peer influence mapping and thought leadership development programs for Abbott Laboratories, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Baxter Healthcare.

His early agency career was spent in consumer brand promotions, CPG trade marketing and medical device marketing where he created integrated marketing

 

programs for such diverse clients as Nestle USA and Toshiba Medical Imaging. Glenn’s work as a creative strategist led him to qualitative research where he managed advertising research projects for such clients as McDonald’s and Turner Broadcasting where he helped shape brand messaging for the launch of The Cartoon Network.

More recently Glenn developed social thought leadership strategies for both The Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of New York Mellon to raise the visibility of their subject matter experts in corporate banking, global trade finance and wealth management. His other activities include developing social networking profiles for CEOs and executives in transition, raising their visibility on both the LinkedIn and Google+ profile platforms.

Concurrently, Glenn is a corporate trainer with a focus on digital and social media strategy, and emerging mobile applications. His training clients have included Leo Burnett Worldwide and Omnicom. In his spare time, Glenn is an avid mobile digital art photographer
